About Us
The Church of Scotland Parish of West Moray was formed from a union of 8 congregations into a Team Ministry which covers Urban and Rural. The Urban part of the Team Ministry is based in Forres St Leonards Church, and the Rural part of the Team Ministry is based in Kinloss Church. A Mission church has been established at Dallas and is covered by the Rural part of the Team Ministry. The churches at Forres St Laurence, Alves, Burghead, Findhorn and Rafford have all held their last Sunday services.
On 2 October 2025 it was agreed by CEI Presbytery that the congregation of Dyke and Edinkillie would join the union following congregational votes held at Dyke and Edinkillie and in West Moray, and that Edinkillie Church and the associated manse would be sold. A Service of Union will be held at a date sometime in November yet to be decided. Dyke Church will establish a second Mission Church and will be supported by the Rural part of the Team Ministry.
The Rural part of the Team Ministry is supported by Reverend Dewald Louw out of Kinloss Church. The Urban part of the Team Ministry is currently vacant. The West Moray Church of Scotland Session currently has the Reverend Charles Finnie from Aviemore, as Interim Moderator. Below is the members of the Cleir Eilean I Presbytery meeting before the inaugural service for the Parish of West Moray Church of Scotland.

The site is under development with the aim of bringing together the information held on the legacy websites of the congregations before the union. So please explore and feel free to use the contact form to tell us about anything you would like to see included. Also please come back again in the future as the website is still developing
